Founded in 1998 by husband and wife Rich and Jo, Harlaxton is proud to be a family business. Today, daughter Lucy is General Manager, while sons Tom and Will are valuable members of our on-site teams.
The family is joined by an incredible group of over 70 expert, intelligent, hard-working employees. They bring us decades of experience in multi utility supply services, from design, supply and construction to connections, servicing and maintenance.
Driven by our people, we are committed to building strong, long-term partnerships with our clients and delivering the results they need.
Rich co-founded Harlaxton Engineering Services Ltd in 1998 with his wife Jo.
He has 39 years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer within the industry, and his expertise of Electrical Protection and High Voltage Systems has taken him around the world. In addition to his Director duties, he is the Senior Electrical Technical Engineer within our team.
Rich brings a wealth of experience and knowledge within the electrical sector having various engineering positions.
Lucy – daughter of Rich and Jo – joined the team in 2009, having previously working in the public sector.
As GM, Lucy is responsible for managing business and compliance processes including all accreditations; ISO9001, ISO14001, CHAS, GAS SAFE, WIRS, GIRS, NERS and MURS.
Lucy is also responsible for back office business processes, and quality assurance/management of the business.
Business Development Director (Multi-Utility)
Gary joined us in 2011 after a 30 year career with British Gas in both Engineering and latterly Business Development.
Gary heads up the Multi Utility Sales Team and brings a wealth of experience and technical knowledge to the ever expanding team.
Gary also represents us on various trade bodies and “competition in connections” forums as well as being our senior GasSafe Representative.

Head of Business Development
Geoff brings a wealth of leadership and industry experience to support Harlaxtons continued success. Responsible for the strategic and targeted growth of the business whilst developing innovative technical solutions Geoff has a passion for all things utility.
Having previously worked nationally within both government and private sector environments in addition to undertaking SAP responsibility for HV/LV, BPS and AGL, an emphasis on developing innovative technical solutions whilst supporting clients’ needs remains a key focus to support Harlaxtons continued success.
Business Development Manager
Andy joined Harlaxton Engineering Services in August 2016 having worked in the utility industry for 13 years. Andy is responsible for Harlaxton’s continued growth in the commercial and industrial sector.
Prior to Harlaxton, Andy has worked for Energetics as Business Development Manager for the industrial and commercial division, and with Severn Trent Services as Regional Manager. During that time Andy has worked on many significant utility contracts both in the UK and internationally and has gained considerable experience and success in working with both new and existing clients.
Andy has also held committee positions for the Institute of Water and is an active member of the Forum for the Built Environment.
Business Development Manager
Kevin joined the company as Business Development Manager in September 2014. He is responsible for building relationships with new clients, maintaining ongoing working relationships with existing clients and providing support to the rest of the Sales Department.
Egidijus joined Harlaxton Engineering Services as Estimator in August 2016 having worked in the industry for 8 years.
During that time Egidijus has worked in Lithuania as Estimator, HV engineer and Project Manager for private electrical contractors and Lithuanian DNO. He has worked on a wide variety of projects from HV Commercial development to EHV substation reconstruction.
Sales Account Executive
Sam joined Harlaxton Engineering Services in January 2015 as Sales Administration Assistant and has recently begun the transition into a Sales Account Executive role.
Working alongside the Sales Team, Sam looks after existing housing developers as well as working towards gaining new clients in the housing field.
Sales Administrative Assistant
Alison joined Harlaxton Engineering Services in December 2012 as an Administrative Assistant in Operations and is now currently working within the Sales Department.
Alison has 20 years administrative experience.
MU Sales Administrative Assistant
Kayleigh joined Harlaxton Engineering Services in January 2014 as a Sales Administration Assistant.
Kayleigh supports the Multi Utility Sales Team with their day to day administrative tasks and is also involved in the estimating of jobs.
Trainee Design Engineer/
Matthew joined the company as a CAD Technician in May 2013.
Matthew has experience in Multi Utility Designs, Renewable Schemes and LV Network Design using Windebut software, in addition to Substation Design & Civil Works. He has worked on a wide variety of projects from LV Residential Schemes to Large HV Commercial Developments. Prior to working with Harlaxton Engineering Services Ltd Matthew studied at Nottingham Trent University as an Architectural Technologist.
Trainee Design Engineer/
Simon joined the company as a Trainee CAD Technician in November 2012.
Simon has experience of working on and designing LV networks, using WinDebut, in addition to Renewable Schemes including Earthing Designs using CDEGs software. Simon has attended various training courses during the past 2 years including Power System Engineering & Power System Protection and also passed his Level 2 CAD Design.
Rob joined Harlaxton Engineering Services in March 2014.
Rob has worked in the Utility Industry for 16 years and has gained experience with companies including Clancy Docwra and Balfour Beatty. Throughout this time Rob has worked within the water sector on new mains/service infrastructure works and repair and maintenance asset replacement schemes.
Caroline joined Harlaxton Engineering Services Ltd in early 2014 and has seen the company grow hugely during that time.
Caroline works alongside our PM’s to ensure project works are planned and delivered on time.
Caroline liaises with clients, suppliers and governing bodies taking responsibility for the administration and organisation of manpower and authorisations.
Operations Administrative Assistant
Camilla works as part of our Operations Team and is responsible for applying for Street Works (NRSWA) and Permits.
She also deals with Call-Off Connections and organises and creates Traffic Management Plans for all off site works.
Victoria joined Harlaxton Engineering Services Ltd in April 2015 after spending 16 years in the Recruitment Industry.
Victoria takes responsibility for all HR related matters including recruitment of personnel.
Veronica joined our business in May 2015 and heads up our Legal Department. With BAs in Law, Criminology and Psychology she has worked both as a Lawyer within the legal profession, privately as a Mediator and joins us following experience gained within the Utility Sector.
Since Judith joined Harlaxton Engineering Services in 2013, our Accounts Department has increased to a team of seven responsible for all the financial affairs of the business.
Judith heads up the team as Finance Manager.
Yard & Recycling Manager
Darran has 29 years’ experience of working within the Utilities Industry and joined Harlaxton Engineering Services Ltd in June 2015.
Darran holds a Street Works Supervisor’s Ticket, CPC and EUSR in both Water and Gas. Darren is employed as a Support Services Supervisor.
