Case Study
Herne Road, Oundle Residential Development Site
Harlaxton were awarded a contract to install all three Utilities to a major housing development within the picturesque Northamptonshire town of Oundle.
- Multi Utility Installation
- 8.45 Acre/3.42 Hectare Site to the South of Oundle Town Centre
- 83 Plots including conversion of Herne lodge into Apartments
- Substation Installation and Electrical Network Management
- 83 Dwellings (79 Houses/4 Apartments)
- Water, Gas and Electric on Site Connections
- 12 Miles from Peterborough
Located just 12 miles from Peterborough the site was a collaborative development between Kier Living and Grace Homes. The nature of the site offered complex challenges that Harlaxton assisted with and resolved from initial design and legal matters through to the installation of services without the need for third party involvement.
Working in conjunction with Western Power Distribution, allowed Harlaxton to undertake an 11 KV connection direct, saving our client both time and money.
Being situated within an established suburb of the town, careful consideration was given to the pre-existing and established commercial and residential neighbours, with Harlaxton co-ordinating both developers and sub-contractors, to keep disruption to a minimum at all times.
Harlaxton held regular meetings with the developers, planners, local authority and sub-contractors, allowing the company to build a future relationship with both Kier Living and Grace Homes.
