Permasoil, Block Making & Recycling Operative

We’re looking for a practical, reliable and hardworking person to join our team as a Permasoil, Block Making and Recycling Operative. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands on work, takes pride in keeping things organised, and wants to be part of a busy, growing operation.

About the role
You’ll play a key role in our Permasoil operation, taking the lead in producing and processing materials that support our Gas, Water and Electrical construction teams, as well as external clients. The role involves a mix of indoor and outdoor work, and no two days are the same. You’ll also support the wider recycling operation, helping to keep both Permasoil production and block making running smoothly and efficiently.

What you’ll do
•Primarily producing and process Permasoil, you may be required to produce recycled blocks to suits the needs of the business
•Keep stock levels accurate and well managed
•Maintain clean, safe and organised work areas
•Work with the Yard Manager to keep operations running smoothly
•Follow all safety procedures and report any issues
•Look after tools and equipment
•Support other teams during busy periods, including delivering materials

What you’ll need
•Basic Health & Safety awareness
•Computer literacy
•Full UK driving licence
•Good communication and focus
•Physically fit and comfortable with manual work
•Able to work independently and under pressure
•Willingness to learn and follow procedures
